This comprehensive curriculum is designed to unify purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain leadership on the SAP S/4HANA platform. By the end of this course, the workforce will be equipped to manage the entire “Procure-to-Pay” lifecycle—from creating purchase requisitions and managing vendor relationships to executing goods movements, verifying invoices, and optimizing inventory levels using data-driven insights.

Module 1: SAP Overview & Enterprise Structure
- Goal: Provide a foundational understanding of S/4HANA navigation and how the procurement function is structured within the enterprise system.
- SAP Overview and Navigation fundamentals.
- Defining Organizational Levels: Plant, Storage Location, Purchasing Organization, and Purchasing Group.
- Understanding the relationship between these levels and the Company Code.
Module 2: Procurement Master Data Management
- Goal: Master the creation and maintenance of core data essential for purchasing and inventory activities.
- Material Master: Understanding Material Types (Raw, Trading, Non-Stock) and processes for creating, changing, and flagging for deletion.
- Business Partner (Vendor): Creating and maintaining supplier records.
- Purchasing Info Record (PIR) & Source List: Managing vendor-specific material data and approved sources of supply.
Module 3: The Procurement Process (Procure-to-Pay)
- Goal: Execute the end-to-end purchasing cycle, from initial request to vendor selection.
- Purchase Requisitions (PR): Manual PRs vs. MRP-generated PRs.
- Purchase Orders (PO): Creating POs for Stock, Non-Stock, Direct Consumption, and One-Time Orders.
- Approvals & Sourcing: Managing Release Procedures and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
Module 4: Inventory Management & Goods Movement
- Goal: Manage physical material flows to ensure highly accurate stock records.
- Executing Goods Receipts (GR) with reference to a PO.
- Standard Movement Types and executing Goods Issues (GI) to cost centers.
- Transfer Postings (TP) between stock types or storage locations.
- Processing returns to vendors and internal returns.
Module 5: Invoice Verification
- Goal: Ensure accurate financial postings by verifying vendor invoices against purchase orders and goods receipts.
- Performing Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV) to complete the purchasing cycle.
Module 6: Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Goal: Utilize system-driven planning tools to ensure material availability and optimize inventory levels.
- Consumption-Based Planning (CBP) and configuring MRP Data.
- Implementing Reorder Point, Time-Phased, and Forecast-Based Planning.
- Executing Total Planning vs. Single-Item/Single-Level MRP runs.
Module 7: Standard Reporting & Analytics
- Goal: Leverage standard and analytical reports to monitor procurement performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Generating standard reports for purchasing and inventory activities.
- Analyzing Dead Stock, Slow-Moving Items, and Excess Inventory Reports.
- Identifying Fast-Moving Stock.
